I have been suffering from very sever stress, exhausted since 4 years. I have acidity problem and cannot take any citrus or pickles etc. Always have a fear to future uncertainty. My hairs are losing quickly and soon I will be bald.

Lets discuss the main causes of hair loss, because once cause of hair loss is identified, one is better equipped to make an informed decision and take reasonable steps to stop and reverse the process. When this happens, one cause of hair loss is resolved: stress.

According to your physical condition, your hair will either shine with a healthy glow or will appear dull and without radiance. When you are under an enormous amount of stress, your hair might even start falling out. During these times, the sebaceous glands begin to produce excessive amounts of hormones, which is why your hair might be waxier than usual, as well as lifeless and lusterless. These symptoms begin to appear during highly stressful times and may cause hair loss.

Hair loss is a natural daily phenomenon, re-growth is generally a given. But this shedding of hair cannot be the main cause of hair loss. Every strand of hair on a human head is genetically programmed to a cycle that includes growth, stabilization, aging and shedding. On the average, a human head sheds about 50 – 125 (depending on gender) but most of them will come back after the resting stage as the follicle itself is not destroyed. Trouble begins when the loss exceeds re-growth, or the re-growth is weak and unhealthy. These are the main causes of hair loss. (see Thinning Hair)

You may experience hair loss following the loss of a family member, certain accidents or incidents of abuse. This form of hair loss is temporary, and the reasons behind it vary. They can often be traced back to pregnancy, high levels of emotional stress, medication, or a change of contraception pills. New mothers might begin losing hair three months after giving birth. Hair growth typically returns to normal within a year.
