Hair Loss for Women: Not a Pretty Sight

by Timothy Garth

Many women think that they can treat their hair loss as a man does. I have something to say about that. Did you know that women who are planning to conceive a baby and are in the same hair loss treatment as a man can produce severe birth defects on the fetus? Other tests have showed hair loss drugs to be completely ineffective to women, while it has been effective on men. Those are just a few reasons why women can’t have the same the same treatment as a hair loss treatment for man.

This is not a joke, and women should seriously think about their hair loss treatment even before beginning to think about it! It’s that serious! But of course this applies for chemical hair loss treatments that, as I have stated before, generally come with unwanted side-effects.

Some doctors still prescribe these drugs to prevent further hair loss in women but they do so only when they prescribe birth control pills as well. Anything to prevent the woman to get pregnant.

If you know a woman that suffers from hair loss, or are in fact one, then you should have multiple questions on reasons for female hair loss. I can’t say I have every answer for you, but I might help you with some. Many cases of female hair loss are caused by great amount of stress. This causes women to loose more hair than normal, but if she takes some time to relax and reduce her stress, then hair loss could be controlled.

Other Causes

Malnutrition is also a reason for hair loss in women. Having a deficiency in some vitamins can cause baldness. Coming out of a mayor surgery can also produce hair loss because of the stress and anguish of the operation. Hormonal imbalance, perhaps the most common, makes women loose hair but I’ll let your doctor talk to you about that in more specific language.

After trying many hair loss remedies Timothy Garth finally found one that worked for him and would like to share his hair loss treatments with you so you don’t have to take the long road in looking for something that works.
